  • MCHA has implemented geographical area rating, which is standard practice in the health insurance industry.  MCHA premium rates will vary depending on the county in which you live and will reflect regional differences in the cost of medical care.  Please click here to view an interactive map. Then, click on the color that corresponds to your county.  Make sure your county is listed on the top of the premium rate sheet.
  • MCHA premium rates are divided by age brackets.  If you move to a different age bracket in the next year, you will incur an additional increase in premium, over and above the increase that went into effect on January 1, 2014.
  • The premium rate table includes the “MCHA Standard Premium Rates” and the “MCHA Tobacco User Premium Rates.”  Please reference the correct rate information for you.

MCHA to Close 12/31/14 Insurance companies can no longer deny you or charge you more because of your pre-existing health condition. As a result, the Minnesota Comprehensive Health Association is no longer accepting new enrollees (for a Jan. 1, 2014 effective date or later) and will close on December 31, 2014. We encourage you to look for a plan on MNsure, Minnesota's online insurance marketplace, or visit myMCHAagent.com to find an agent.
